The Defence Service Staff College, Wellington (DSSC) has opened applications for as many as 83 Group C civilian posts. The vacancies are for Stenographer Grade II, Civilian Motor Driver, (Ordinary Grade) Sukhani, Lower Division Clerk, Multi-Tasking Staff (Office and Training), and Carpenter. The college released the advertisement for these vacancies on 1 May.

Aspirants can apply offline till Saturday, 22 May by downloading the form from the official website. They can follow these steps to apply for the vacancies:

Step 1: Visit the website

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the ‘Careers’ tab

Step 3: A new page will open. Click on the link titled ‘Defence Services Staff College inviting application for LDC, Stenographer, MTS and Other posts through Offline mode. Click here to view details’

Step 4: Upon clicking on the link, the recruitment notification will open. Scroll down towards the end to find the application form

Step 5: Take a print out of the DSSC application form

Step 6: Fill in the details in the form. Attach all the required documents with your application form

Step 7: Place all the documents in a self-addressed envelope of 10 x 22 cms size. A Rs 22 postage stamp should be pasted on the envelope

Step 8: Send the filled-in application form to - The Commandant, Defence Services Staff College, Wellington (Nilgiris) – 643231, Tamil Nadu

There will be a written test for the recruitment in which questions will be asked from five sections namely, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English, General Awareness and Trade Specific. The question paper will be in Hindi and English.

Candidates qualifying for the written test will be appearing for a physical or skill test.
